B.C. Women's Amateur Championship
The inaugural B.C. Women’s Amateur for the Flumerfelt Cup was held at Victoria Golf Club in 1905.The BC Women’s Championship is a 72-hole gross stroke play competition with a cut after 54 holes to top 40 and ties (based on a field of 60). Ties for 1st place and for positions on the BC Team to the Canadian Women’s Championship will be decided by a sudden death playoff immediately following completion of play of the final round.
There are 6 flights with prizes going to the low and second gross score in each flight. Flights are determined by players’ handicap factor at the time of tournament registration.
Zone & Club Team competitions are held coincidentally with the first and second round of the BC Women’s Amateur/Mid-Amateur Championships. The Zone Team gross and net competition use the combined 36 hole gross and net scores for each zone team member. The Zone Team consists of players who are chosen by each zone in advance of the provincial championship.
Two-woman club teams are selected after the first round by taking the two players with the lowest gross score from each club with two or more competitors and the two players with the lowest net score from each club with two or more competitors.

The BC Women’s Mid Amateur Championship is a 54-hole gross stroke play competition with no cut.

The inaugural Senior Women’s Amateur Championship was held at Capilano Club in 1975 as a 36-hole stroke play event. It changed to 54 holes in 1980.
The BC Senior Women’s Championship is a 54 hole gross stroke play competition with no cut. Ties for 1st place and for positions on the BC Team to the Canadian Senior Women’s Championship will be decided by a sudden death playoff immediately following completion of play of the final round.
Within the championship are two divisions: The senior division (age 50 - 59) and super senior (age 60 plus). The lowest score, however, would win both their division and championship.
There are 4 handicap flights are also 4 handicap flights in this competition. Each flight will be made of up players with their handicap factors verified at registration. Individuals placing in the senior and super senior divisions would be elilmited from the handicap flight competitions.
Zone & Club Team competitions are held concurrently with the first and second round of the BC Senior Women’s Championship. The Zone Team gross and net competition use the combined 36 hole gross and net scores for each zone team member. The Zone Team consists of players who are chosen by each zone in advance of the provincial championship. The Club Team Championship takes both scores from the club team on the first two days of the competition.
